Neil McLauchlan - Head Professional/Director
I have over 20 years of experience in the golf industry, and I'm delighted to be the Head PGA Professional at Letchworth Golf Club! For the last 15 years, I managed the biggest on-course golf store in Hertfordshire at Chesfield Downs Golf & Country Club whilst also coaching members and visitors. In 2019, I became a PGA Certified Putting Instructor and now use Capto Technology to improve golfers' putting and short game as my main focus. I have been a qualified PGA Professional for over 15 years and trained for the previous 3 to get my Foundation Degree with the PGA. I have coached lots of different players ages and abilities whilst always striving to find the best solution for my pupils problems.
James Clark - Lead PGA Professional
James has enjoyed a career of 10 years in the golf industry, including 7 years coaching full time at the busy Chesfield Downs Golf & Country Club. He has a wealth of experience coaching Juniors, adults, beginners, county players and Professionals. He continues to be a Hertfordshire Lead County Coach alongside his role at Letchworth. Placing importance upon positive relationships, James has a keen understanding not only of what makes a technically sound golfer, but also what drives a desire to improve.James covers all areas of the game from swing assessment, short game work and course management. He uses video to inform analysis and feedback, including on a remote basis. Each client has a uniquely tailored plan.
Matthew Bailey - PGA Professional
Matthew joined the professional team in 2022 and since then has developed a strong reputation for his style of coaching. Whether you’re just starting out or an elite player, Matthew is passionate about helping golfers develop their personal journey. He has always had a keen interest in putting and specialises his teaching in that area. Being a Certified Putting Instructor and using Capto/Puttview technology in our studio, Matthew is confident in making you a better putter and lower your scores. Matthew also leads Letchworth GC’s Junior Scholarship Program for Junior golfers helping to develop some of the finest talent in Hertfordshire.
Matt Crowhurst - PGA Golf Professional
Dedicated to helping golfers reach their goals and build confidence in their game. Ensuring players I work with leave each lesson with more understanding and ownership of their games. 5 years of club fitting experience working at the Titleist National Fitting Centre.Trackman level 1 & 2 certified Always happy to help
